Who we are

Next Day Offer, Technology Centre, 40 Vulcan Road South, Norwich, Norfolk, NR6 6AF, is the data controller for the information described here. You can ask us about anything in this notice when we call, or by email at admin@nextdayoffer.co.uk.

What we collect and why

We collect information in three ways.

• When you ask for an offer: the property address, what you tell us about the property and your reasons for selling, and your name, phone number, email address and preferred contact time. We use this to research the property, to call you back and to send you a written offer. Our lawful basis is that these steps are necessary before entering into a contract with you.
• When you request a call back: your name, phone number, and anything else you choose to tell us. We use this to call you. The lawful basis is the same.
• When you use the website: technical information such as your device type, browser and pages visited, collected through privacy respecting analytics that do not use cookies to track you across sites. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running the website well.

Research we carry out on a property

To make an offer we look at public information about the property and the area: Land Registry title and sold price records, planning history, Energy Performance Certificates, flood and environmental data, and what is currently for sale nearby. We keep this research with your enquiry. It relates to the property rather than to you personally, but where it is linked to your name it is treated as your personal information.

Phone calls and messages

If we record a call we tell you at the start of it. We keep notes of conversations so that the person progressing your sale knows what has been agreed.

Who we share it with

We share your information only where we need to in order to do what you have asked.

• Solicitors acting for you and for us, once you accept an offer.
• Providers we use to run the business: our website and database hosting (Vercel and Supabase, both with data held in the EU or UK), email delivery, and address lookup services.
• Professional advisers where you ask us to involve them, for example a surveyor.
• Anyone we are legally required to share it with, for example under anti money laundering rules.
• We do not sell your details, and we do not pass enquiries to other buyers or investors.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails if you tick the box asking for them, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We never cold call and we never buy lists.

How long we keep it

If you do not go ahead with a sale, we keep your enquiry for 12 months in case you come back, then delete it. If you do sell to us, we keep the transaction records for six years after completion because we are required to for tax and anti money laundering purposes. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form only.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict what we do with it. Email us and we will respond within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
